WFMW: What to do with all the free Honey Bunches of Oats?!?!

It's Work for Me Wednesday over at Rock's In My Dryer. This week I would like to share what has worked for me over the past week.

We have lots of FREE cereal that we have picked up over the past couple weeks. The one that we've got the most of is Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Clusters. I believe we are up to 8 boxes. My kids do not eat cereal...or at least not in a bowl with milk. So, what do I do with all this cereal?!?! I make treats like Rice Krispie treats but with Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Clusters.

Ingredients
3 tbsp margarine or butter
1 pkg (10 oz. about 40) regular marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Clusters (on any other brand of cereal would probably work too)

Directions
1. Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into 13 x 9 pan coated with cooking spray (or butter). Cut into 2-inch squares when cool.

I hear you can make balls out of them instead of flat squares. Just make sure you coat your hands in butter or cooking spray before making them so they won't stick to your hands.

Do you have an other ideas for using up all this cereal? I would LOVE to hear them, if you do.

Although I don't have a free cereal issue, I do this with Cocoa Pebbles. Sometimes they go on sale for $1 a box, so I stock up and make crispy treats with them. (Cocoa Pebbles are gluten-free too, just in case you know someone that would need that.)

Make some peanut butter granola bars! :) They'll be nice & crunchy from the cereal.
Here's a recipe you could use:
