A regular membership costs $40. So, after the $25 gift card, it's like paying $15 for a year...a little over a dollar a month! Not a shabby deal if you ask me! You could also take advantage of the $10 Sam's Gift Card I mentioned in this post.
Besides buying stuff in bulk, Sam's is a great place to get your prescriptions filled (or even have your eye exam done).
