If you're new to Aldi's, here's a quick run down of a few things you should know before heading out. You will need to grab a quarter, cash/debit or food stamps, and some bags to put your groceries in. Aldi's charges you a quarter to use their carts. However, when you return the cart, your quarter is returned. This helps to eliminate carts from being left in the parking lot and they do not have to pay someone to round up all the carts. Second, Aldi's only accepts cash, debit or food stamps. They also do not accept coupons. Last, the bags. They do not bag your groceries. You must bring your own bags (or pay $.10 a bag, if you have to purchase some from them) and bag your own groceries. The cashier will scan your groceries (pretty quickly) and place them right back in your cart. They have an area for you to bag your groceries. You don't have to try to bag them as quick as the cashier is scanning them.
