Events for Local Readers - December 6th and 7th

Charleston Falls will be hosting their Winter Open House on Saturday, December 6th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. The open house includes a quiet walk to the falls along a lantern lit trail. Santa and his elves will be on the rails handing our candy canes. The falls will be lit with colored lights. There will be a bonfire and music from local musicians.

Carriage Hill will be hosting their Christmas on the Farm on Sunday, December 7th from 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Instead of electric lights and plastic reindeer, you will find glowing candles and fresh-cut cedar from the Christmas traditions of 1880's farm life. There will be hayrides, fresh gingerbread, roasted chestnuts and games for kids. Families will be able to help decorate the fresh cedar Christmas tree, join in cookie decorating and other fun crafts. Visit the Children's Interactive Center at the Visitor's Center to make a Victorian-era Christmas ornament to take home.

Both events are free and open to the public.
