Free Nic's Sticks and coupon from ULTA

Starting May 6, 2008, bring the May 2008 cover of Seventeen or print out this coupon and take it to any ULTA store to receive one (1) Nic’s Sticks in “I’m Outta Here” from Nicole by OPI (while supplies last - 15,000 being given away).

Update: I hope your location knows what you are referring to on this free Nic's Stick - mine didn't. They were located behind the counter (didn't notice until I went to walk out) but they gave me a free OPI polish instead (which I would rather have)!

While you are there, you can also take advantage of the $3.50 off $10 or more purchase
coupon that was mentioned by Mommy Snacks!

UPDATE: I went today (5/8/08) and used both coupons. While you are there, make sure you join their rewards club "the club at ULTA". Each quarter you will receive a Rewards Certificate (based on your spending) for FREE beauty products or salon services. After today's trip, I am almost to the second level ($100). My mother didn't want to get a rewards card so she put her order on my card too!

Weighing In #13

I lost 1 pound!! Not all that excited over 1 pound but I’ll take it. It’s definitely better than reporting a gain! I’ve got 3 more pounds until I reward myself with a haircut. I’ve got to hit that 15 pound mark by my birthday (22nd)...

As far as my eating, I think there are areas that really need improvement. I’ve trying to incorporate as many fruits and vegetables as I can. I can usually eat just about any fruit but when it comes to vegetables, it’s a different story! I was happy to have been able to go out to dinner (with late notice) and stay within my point range. As I’ve said before, if you have the time and resources, check out the menu before you head out to the restaurant.

I didn’t workout this week as much I had liked to. As a matter of fact, I didn’t workout at all on Saturday (WHAT?!?!). I didn’t walk on my lunch hour like I had been and didn’t go to the YMCA for strength training like I had planned. I really need to put my lunch hours to work again.

Total miles walked: 13.25 miles (up from last week)
Total miles on elliptical: 5.75 (down from last week)
Arm & Leg Strength workouts
Floor exercise for the Core

My goals for this week are to lose 2 pounds. I’d like to try to add in the fitness classes that I have been mentioning. With soccer being cancelled on Saturday, they are making the games up during the week which has been cutting into my workouts and fitness class schedules. I am going to sit down this week and actually write out a schedule. I will have two – one for a normal week and one for Saturday soccer rain outs.

Last week I had questioned whether to attend a WW meeting or not. We had a soccer game the night of the local class. I had planned on walking over to the church for the meeting (less than a mile). I think I will try the free class. At work, they are having a Jenny Craig representative come in and talk to us so I am going to see what they have to offer too. I’m not very familiar with their plan. I had a family member follow it years ago and you had to purchase their food. I’m not going to follow a plan like that. I want to eat “real” food and more less whatever I want within reason.

Day 87, Food and Exercise Log

I decided to pass on the exercise this morning because of weigh in day. I didn't want to drink two bottles of water and then weigh in. I'm hoping for rain since we have a soccer game tonight. I did get the laundry started this morning, house got cleaned last night and dinner is in the slow cooker.

Overall thought: I am really starting to lose motivation - not a good thing! Soccer did get cancelled at the last minute so I had the time to do a little exercising...between cooking dinner, cleaning the house, finishing laundry, cleaning out the cat/kitten cage. I was REALLY hungry today. I could have ate all day long and probably still had been hungry. I've got a meeting with the personal trainer today to see what she has to offer and the cost involved. I'm thinking about doing 2 hours before vacation (over the next 4 weeks) and then 2-4 hours when we return. I want to get some ideas that I can do on my own that maybe I haven't thought of or read about in one of the millions of magazines that I read. Once we return from vacation, I will have 7 weeks until my fiance's 30th class reunion. I've got to get the weight off!!
